The WCOOP Event #32-H already came to an end, with nsmirnov from Russia taking down the online poker tournament and getting all the glory. The player managed to not only outlast a massive players field, but also to deal with a heads-up deficit to win the event.
PokerStars’ 2017 WCOOP Event #32-H, which was a No-Limit 6-Max event offering a buy-in of $530, attracted a massive number of players, who accounted for a prize pool which surpassed the $250,000 guarantee, reaching an overall amount of $365,500. A total of 731 entrants competed for the first-place prize and the event’s title, with only the first 95 of them being granted with a portion of the prize pool, of which a $62,040.83 portion was kept safe for the victor.
Gameplay
At the end of WCOOP Event #32-H Day 1, there were only 32 players left who were to return on the second day of the tournament. Day 2 started with the German player Her087 holding the chip lead, with a stack of 2.5 million in chips. At the time when level times on Day 2 of the event were boosted from 15 to 20 minutes, there were only 24 players left. When formed, the final four tables were given an extra five minutes per lever until the end of the online poker tournament.
At the time when there were only three final tables and 18 players left in the game, the chip lead belonged to Canada’s Vchama, who got a stack amounting to 4.2 million. Vchama managed to boost his stack to 8 million when there were only 14 players left around the final tables of the event. His stack was at the time approximately two times larger than the one of the player who was second.
Four more player got eliminated quickly, and by the time there were only 10 players left, Vchama fell to the second position after MoshiMoshi84 managed to climb on top of the pack. Still, Vchama managed to regain the chip lead, passing the 10-million mark at the time when there were only 9 left in the game.
At the time when the final table of seven was formed, it was Vchama who got the chip lead with a stack of 10,687,759. nsmirnov was right behind him, with 7,697,412 in chips, while the third position was occupied by Kelvin_FP:AR with a total of 5,132,455 in chips. The fourth place was taken by chicobolino, followed by MoshiMoshi84 and LUFCBas. teruliro. was at the bottom of the stack, with 2,165,287 in chips.
The final table started over Level 36 with a 12,000 ante and blinds set at 50,000/100,000.
Final Table Ranking
With seven players left around the final table, teruliro was the one who was aimed at a second career WCOOP title, after the player managed to win a WCOOP event in 2016. Player got eliminated one by one, until only three of them were left around the final table. Three-handed play, however, did not last long, leaving Vchama and nsmirnov in the battle for the event’s title.
At the point when the heads-up play started, the Canadian had a massive chip lead over the Russian, with a massive chip stack of 23,948,792. In comparison, nsmirnov had 12,601,208 in chips. However, the Russian managed to overcome Vchama’s competition to win the event and emerge victorious.
After a heads-up battle, it was the Russian player nsmirnov who took down the event, winning a prize pool monetary prize of $62,040.83. Vchama occupied the runner-up position of the final table ranking, winning a total of $43,682.87 for his efforts. The Brazilian chicobolinho got third, being granted with a consolation prize of $30,757.19.
Then, the UK player LUFCBas ranked fourth, followed by another player from Brazil – Kelvin_FP:AR. The sixth place was taken by the Netherlands’ MoshiMoshi84, while Irish player teruliro remained at the seventh position of the final table ranking.
